A research scientist at the IT security company, Sophos, will talk about the dark web – a hidden network of websites – and how easily tools for a cyberattack can be acquired there. And a security and digital forensics instructor will share “tales from the trenches” about his experience in security and computer forensics. RSVP to and include the event date in the subject line.

    Users of the UW’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) can more easily include inflation adjustments in their analyses of dollar amounts over time with Consumer Price Index (CPI) data now built into the EDW. The EDW integrates information from many sources across the University into a central repository, and stores current and historical data that are used to support operational reporting and strategic analysis.
